Seek before you speak.

The view from outside peeking through a closed
Window may give you access to the same experience as those on the inside. However the obscurity of the shade of the screen will allow you to see it a little differently.

A prime example can be found in the New Testament of the Bible. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John all give an account of the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Though all four witnessed the same things, their narratives vary slightly.

I have heard countless times in life that “there are three sides to every story…” I have come to a different conclusion over the last few years.

It is my opinion that there are as many sides to a story as those that witness it, multiplied by those that they tell, and quadrupled by those that thrive on gossip.

Sadly enough idle chatter, back biting, malicious gossip, and even straight up lying is at an all time high. I guess I am crazy to believe that with age and maturity people grow out of this juvenile behavior.

Keep in mind that you can’t believe everything that you hear. Fact find and KNOW the truth before you speak about others or even events.

Be you, you never know who is watching.

I have heard all of my life that God works in very mysterious ways. God often uses us to encourage and inspire one another.

I have lately grown a little bored with Facebook and posted yesterday that I was seriously considering closing my account.

I had a couple of people to ask me not to leave. This touched me. I had the pleasure of speaking with one of those persons today.

She and I talked for a total of approximately 3 hours. Now please note that she and I have never had the pleasure of meeting face to face as of yet. Ironically we met on Facebook a few years ago and have become close.

She and I caught up on what has been going on with the other over the last few months. As God would have it we have had extremely similar experiences in these months.

My heart was filled when she tearfully explained to me why she wanted me to stay on FB.

She shared that she is not often on FB, but when she does log on she looks for my posts; that they provide her courage and inspiration. Simply that sometimes it gets her through.

What she may not have realized is that she encouraged me in a time that I was feeling down trodden. God used this young lady to show me that when I am feeling my lowest, unloved, and a failure….Or when I feel that this entire blog thing is for nothing and wanting to quit; that someone appreciates me. That my efforts are serving a purpose.

I greatly appreciate this young lady. She also has my admiration and upmost respect. She exemplifies. Woman of noble character. Her commitment to honor the covenant that she made for God, the way she sacrifices for her children, her determination, and fighting spirit are all encouraging to me.

We all bring something to the table of life. Follow your heart and mind because you never know who’s spirit you are feeding.

Thank you me beautiful friend. I love you.

Happy New Year

As 2015 quickly approaches its closing, I sit here in reflection mode.

This past year has been one of constant change, surprises, tough decisions, spiritual growth, and much much more.

Sitting in the same spot that was in 365 days ago, with my sisters, my parents in our childhood home, and family thank God for keeping me in His count on this side.

I am thankful for all that God has allowed me to endure wether good or bad.

I forgive those who have wronged and hurt me in anyway. And I apologize and ask your forgiveness!

I make no resolutions, I simply strive to grow In Christ to be the woman of God that He wants me to be.

But I do pray for restoration of peace ALL over the world!

I love everyone. Life is too short for hate.

Have a blessed and Happy New Year!!

Let’s make 2016 the best one yet!!
